Dr. Leah Cordovez
She is a native of Panama and graduated from the University of Panama Medical School in 2000. She completed her residency through the University of Tennessee at Saint Thomas Midtown Hospital, and during her time there, she served as Chief Resident of Internal Medicine.
After completing her residency, Dr. Cordovez joined Saint Thomas Medical Partners and then served as the concierge medical director for MPOWER and Elite Orthopedics.
She has continued her pursuit of medical education, completing a Fellowship in Integrative Medicine from the University of Arizona College of Medicine in 2017. She obtained a Board certification in Obesity Medicine in 2020.
She holds a master’s degree in Healthcare Management from Vanderbilt’s Owen School of Business and serves as an associate professor of medicine at the University of Tennessee.

- FAQ
- ADD/ADHD, Anxiety and Depression Medications: The medications associated with these conditions are not permitted aside from some of the SSRI’s which, on a case-by-case basis, can be approved by the FAA.
- Asthma: Refer to CACI Conditions for additional information. Use of daily medications for asthma control require letter from treating physician as well as Spirometry within 90 days of exam.
- DUI – Refer to AME Guidelines regarding protocol
- OSA Diagnosis: bring required information as outlined in the AASI letter you received from the FAA.
- If you have recently received a new diagnosis or have one that is not previously documented:
- Letter from treating physician
- Sleep study report
- One year of CPAP data report that shows 6 hours of use each night and 75% daily usage
- S.O.D.A. (Statement of Demonstrated Ability) for fixed deficiencies such as color blindness (if applicable)
- Office notes, letter of release including any limitations, new medications and follow-up plan from treating physician
- Hospital records/discharge summary if hospitalized
- Pathology report for surgery related to evaluation/diagnosis of malignancy such as prostate, skin, etc. including diagnostic biopsy of lymph node.
